Tina Turner (1939 –2023) was an American-born Swiss singer, known as the „Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll”. Tina is considered one of the greatest singers of all time!
She was noted for her “swagger, sensuality, gravelly vocals, and unstoppable energy”, along with her career longevity and her famous legs.
The Rolling Stones Magazine had ranked her among the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time”. Tina Turner won a total of 12 Grammy Awards and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1986.
Tina merged sound and movement at a critical turning point in rock history, navigating and reflecting the technological innovations of a new pop-music era in the 60s and 70s.
She catapulted herself to the forefront of a musical revolution that had long marginalized and overlooked the pioneering contributions of African American women and then remade herself again at an age when most pop musicians were hitting the oldies circuit. Turner’s musical character has always been a charged combination of mystery as well as light, melancholy mixed with a ferocious vitality that often flirted with danger.

THE PROCESS OF CREATION: This limited edition giclee print, already in stock and available in Budapest, was made in Germany under the careful supervision of the pop-art artist. The giclees are printed on archival, acid-free, artist’s canvas using fade-resistant pigment ink printing, saturated with everlasting rich colors.
Instead of framing, a so-called “Gallery Wrap” is used, which is a 4cm deep adjustable blind stretching of the canvas giclée. The artwork is given a 4cm black pigment ramp that is folded in so that it completely covers the sides underneath, no staples are visible and the overall look is elegant. Custom framing is available on request.
