The action takes place in a swimming pool, the complete runs that sell out immediately seem to force the artist to return to the same theme from time to time. The setting is always “SHAGIAN”, a spectacular mid-century-modern mansion full of details and iconic design objects. In this new ode to hedonism, you have a lot of characters dedicated to enjoying life in the most diverse ways: cocktails, dances, hula-hoop…
All of them contain an enigma or have a story that you must guess… with no less than sixteen guests (seventeen? the dog…) you will not get bored!
The “PS POOL PARTY 2025” is an 15-color serigraph was created for Palm Spring’s Modernism Week 2025. Signed and numbered by SHAG and includes the C.O.A. by our gallery, Studio Proof (27/35).

THE PROCESS OF CREATION: SHAG’s limited editions introduced in Budapest are produced using the silk-screen (serigraph) printing method. Serigraphy for additional color depth, saturation, density, and texture is a perfect match to SHAG’s painting style.
He has been collaborating with Kolibri Art Studio atelier in Los Angeles for decades for unparalleled quality at enormous sizes for always a small, limited edition of 200 serigraphs only. Anywhere from 10 to 25 colors (some colors are printed twice for optimum quality) with hand color separation, it required 2 months to print since it is very labor-intensive to complete these unique editions. His media choice is always the US-made, 100% rag 2 or 4-ply “Rising Museum Board” brand, acid-free, thick archival paper, only with 5cm margins outside the live area.
For the finish, SHAG requires a very expensive UV matte clear coat application which is made for silk-screen printing only, to preserve the extra longevity of the serigraph print.
