This tremendously colorful image was created as a commission from the design magazine CA-Modern Magazine to appear on the cover of its fall 2021 issue, which become so sought-after that became a limited
Serigraph edition by SHAG.

A dozen cats of all shapes and colors star in the silkscreen edition, in which you also have the typical details that Shag loves, like the Danish-style bookcase and the 1950s sofa.

In this humorous edition, SHAG combines all the constant motifs of its identity (kittens and retro style), regardless of its other usual obsessions, such as mid-century objects, stylish characters, etc.

This work can be an ideal work for all those who are lovers of mysterious pets and fans of retro works.

The FELINE FANATIC serigraph limited edition (200) is SOLD-OUT in the US. We sincerely thank SHAG for hand-signing and numbering from his personal archive this Artist Proof (A/P 24/25) for his secoind gallery in Europe. This serigraph includes the Certificate of Authenticity (C.O.A.) issued by the gallery. The only one on hand was purchassed by a Hungarian collector in December of 2022.

DESCRIPTION: SHAG’s limited editions introduced in Budapest are made using the silk-screen (serigraphy) printing method. Serigraphy for additional color depth, saturation, density and texture a perfect match to SHAG’s painting style.

He collaborates with Kolibri Art Studio atelier in Los Angeles for decades for unparalleled quality at enormous sizes for a small, limited edition of 200 serigraphs. Anywhere from 10 to 25 colors (some colors are printed twice for optimum quality) with hand color-separation required 2 months to print since it is very labor-intensive to complete these unique editions. His media choice is always the US-made, 100% rag, 2 or 4-ply “Rising Museum Board” brand, acid-free, thick archival paper, only with 5cm margins left outside the live area. For the finish, SHAG requires a very expensive UV matte clear coat application only made for silk-screen printing to p-reserve the serigraph print’s the extra longevity.

FRAMING INFORMATION: Custom made 3cm wide Italian white lacquered wood frame with 5 cm wide orange matting. This particular framed option comes without glass, which is not necessarily due to the size and the serigraph nature since already a UV satin varnish was already applied for longevity. At this stage, the display is approved by the artist
